The WAAA is intended as a not for profit professional body to serve the needs and to support the activities of AI academies around the world
The frontier Large language Model companies ( Open AI , XAI , Meta , Anthropic etc ) and other Big Tech companies ( Google , Microsofft , Amazon etc) and many others developing AI tools, platforms and systems will recognise the merit of establishing an international umbrella body to oversee and develop the capability, viability and knowledge base of AI academies. AI academies are the main and most important channel through which their products, models, tools and platforms will become known and familiar to the businesses, individuals and AI entrepreneurs who ultimately will be the main users and future purchasers of such products.
Trainees attending AI academies will get “hands on” experience and familiarity in use of such products, tools and systems as part of their AI training and this will make them aware and more likely to use and recommend such products. Hence it is in the interests of Big Tech to have a very strong and financially viable network of AI academies as potential partners continuously showcasing their latest products to those most likely to be users around the world . If the Global AI Entrepreneurship Training Initiative (GAETI) is implemented as proposed Frontier Model and Big Tech companies are expected to be part of the UN Global Task force centrally developing the proposed training courses . They will then be asked to make their cloud services and access to their models free or highly subsidised to WAAA member Academies participating in the national level training Initiatives . Their payback will be that the next generation of AI Entrepreneurs will become familiar with the products and services of Frontier Model and Big Tech Companies and be more likely to use them in their subsequent work.
In addition , organisations supporting the efforts of WAAA to develop and strengthen AI academies can become corporate “sponsors” by providing support via donations of money or services in kind. WAAA Is grateful for such support and our sponsors are invited to contact WAAA management to become a sponsor. Sponsors will be acknowledged and prominently displayed on the website on a "sponsors wall" showing their level of sponsorship and will be given opportunities to periodically provide information about their products to the membership.
